A RELATIONSHIP THAT HAS CHANGED
Eight years ago, one of my best friends, moved to Australia
for life. From that moment my relationship with him changed radically. We met
each other when we were 12 years old, in Valencia, he came from other school.
At first we dindn’t talk to much, but with the passage of the time we start
talking and getting more and more confidence, then he moved away.
The first months we kept in touch all the time, he told me
everything about his new life, classmates, the new family, things he did,
absolutely everything. After a while we started talking much less than we used
to, I suppose he started to hang out with his new friends.
In his birthday, I called him and we stayed up all night
talking about new things that happened, updating new information. After a
while talking I realised that he had a new group of friends and a new life,
when we said goodbye I knew that our relationship would never be same even if
we talk all day, I mean I can’t change that, he has a new life.
I like the fact that you just simply accept that he has a new life and new friends. It's a very realistic story because it's something that happens al the time an not many people talk about it.
